Reporting Your Scores in the Golf Genius App

The Golf Genius App can be downloaded from the APP Store or Play Store to your smartphone BEFORE you get to the course on Thursday.  It’s free!!

  • Ideally, the Golf Genius App is used during the Round with gross scores entered as holes are completed.  As an alternative, you may keep paper scorecards during the Round and input all scores at the end of the Round after confirming that all golfers in your group agree upon the scores.

  • One person (the marker) in the foursome inputs all players’ scores into the Golf Genius App using the GGID provided.

  • Input players’ gross, unadjusted scores. After you enter all scores on a hole, tap Save Scores and it will move to the next hole.

  • You can return to previous holes and change scores a many times as you wish, but remember to click Save Scores before you move on to a different hole.

  • If a player picks up, enter an X. You do not need to enter a number after the X. Golf Genius will automatically change the score to a Net Double Bogey (max score). (If a player does not hole out on a hole counted towards the Sweeps game, they will be ineligible for Sweeps prizes.)

  • If a player does not play a hole, leave the score blank.

  • At least one person in the foursome needs to keep a full paper scorecard. The card(s) will not be turned in, but they are critical for verifying scores when you finish.

  • At the end of the round, each player must carefully verify her hole-by-hole scores.

  • If possible, it might be helpful to use a cell phone charger out on the course.

  • DO NOT POST YOUR SCORE TO GHIN. This will automatically be done for you by Golf Genius.  Hang on to your card for a day or two in case there are any questions.

  • NOTE:  if no one in your foursome is comfortable using the Golf Genius APP, you may keep paper scorecards only for the entire group.  Immediately after your round, email a photo of your paper scorecard to Anne Higgins or Patti McCormick so that your group’s scores are entered into our database.

The results can be found by going to the BPWGC Golf Genius Portal (where you signed up to play).  The results will usually be available within 24 hours after the conclusion of a Round.  You must log in to the Portal to see the Results as they are not viewable by the public.
